What is it

It’s a collection of widgets, design options and tools to help you layout pages better.

The 1 page Home Page:

It is now possible to set the page template to “Full Width” and create a Home Page that lists all the key content from the Event. The page is split up into sections and then filled with content from the website.

Each section within a page can be assigned:

  • Full Width Y/N and padding options
  • Background colour, image or video content

Each section then becomes a container to fill with content. The sections can be split into columns, each column with a width of 1/6, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2.

What does it cost

The price for the Design+ Pack, to be added to either the Sphere or the Prism templates is £250 for the year.

The price for us to design a full page home page for you is £250.

What next if I want to use it

Please email me on dominic@miramedia.co.uk and I’ll get it switched on. As with all our stuff, if you don’t like with after 30 days, we’ll cancel the invoice and you won’t have to pay a single penny.

We’ve added a new way to categorise your exhibitors – similar to groups in the speaker and seminar system.

Feature List

 

A full set of features with each of the 3 Mira.cx themes.

 

Say you want to track the number of hits to a particular URL (e.g. www.yoururl.com/abc). Or maybe you want to promote a more attractive URL for a particular page or URL, well you can now use the redirection feature.

Just enter your new nice URL and the URL to direct into.

The number of hits to the URL is displayed in the report.

Designed for a larger website

The conference websites theme (now named ‘The Sphere Theme’) was great but we noticed an increase in requests to change the navigation, the top nav was toorestrictive for events with conferences and exhibitions.

‘Prism’ should have more space than you’d ever need. The navigation across the top is now optional, you could put it in the sidebar instead (Or have both!).

Combined with the new action bar, two sidebars you can pack in the content you need as your event grows.

Call to action!

The ‘action bar’ is a feature we’ve introduced to give you more exposure to your key sponsors or links. Sitting above your site content it’s guaranteed a view.

Teaser Boxes

Screen Shot 2014-10-24 at 11.11.45It’s always a great idea to finish each page with a lead into the next. The new teaser box tool lets you drop in a clear prompt to the user of where you want. Whether it’s registration, exhibitor information or a photo gallery at the end of the show.

Footer Widgets

The sidebar real-estate can be precious, even though we added an extra sidebar for Prism we also went one better by adding four new areas for your footer.

One of the key features of our system is the ability to display speakers photos in a number of different formats:

Many clients have requested that we edit their speakers photos – selecting different photos for the thumbnails to the featured images.

The different photo sizes are created by selecting the central part of the photo – see my blog post on Article on selecting a perfect speaker photo.

We have added a feature to edit just a specific version of a photo – e.g. the larger thumbnail.

How to do this:

Speakers > Pick a speaker > Click on the speaker photo or click to add a speaker photo.

Drag the mouse over the image to select a crop region. The select the image size you want to edit.

The new CTA Call to Action button system inserts fancy looking buttons into the page content of your site.

Polls are an important tool to get quick feedback from your users. We have launched an easy to use, feature rich Polls system.

And here’s how to do it:

  • Public or Private Poll Results: Poll results are only displayed to the user when using the Poll Widget or Shortcodes. This makes it easy to poll users on any type of form, including order forms!
  • Gravity Forms Powered: Conditional logic, limiting after a certain date or number of votes… it’s no different than creating any form in Gravity Forms!
